The office of the University Chaplain provides spiritual oversight and pastoral care for the KUSDA community. This position is currently awaiting official appointment.
Appointed by Kenyatta University in consultation with the Central Kenya Conference. Provides spiritual oversight and pastoral care for the church community.

ContactSeconded by Central Kenya Conference (CKC). Supports the Chaplain in pastoral duties and student ministry.
ContactAppointed from among academic or administrative staff of Kenyatta University. Serves as the formal link between the university authorities and the church.
Essential Duties & Tasks
The KUSDA Chaplain fulfills these key responsibilities as outlined in the constitution
- Discern, articulate, and cast the vision of where God is leading KUSDA
- Model and encourage personal spiritual development
- Lead the congregation to view themselves as ministers with a calling
- Create an inviting, welcoming community of faith
- Mobilize, equip, empower KUSDA leadership
- Design and implement plan to involve new members in ministry
- Coordinate mid-week prayer, Friday vespers, and Sabbath worship services
- Prepare long-range preaching schedules and themes
- Oversee Sabbath school programs and operations
- Represent KUSDA in the faith community and community at large
- Look for ways to involve KUSDA in local mission activities
- Ensure KUSDA website is engaging, current and helpful
