White Doves Ministry

A ladies' ensemble bringing messages of peace, purity, and God's love through harmonious singing. The oldest group in KUSDA, formed around 1993/94.

History

The White Doves was formed around 93/94 one evening in Grace Chepkorir's room at Nyayo 2 hostels. The founding members were Grace Chepkorir, Festus Kigo, Mary Bandika & Mwanzo Moseti. The name white doves emanated from a song they loved 'On the wings of a Snow White Dove'. Through God's grace, the group has grown in leaps & bounds and still exists today as the oldest group in KUSDA.

Vision & Mission

Vision. In harmony with the prophecies of the scripture, we see as the climax of God's plan for the restoration of all His creation to full harmony with His perfect will and righteousness.

Mission. To give ourselves wholly unto the great mission of Matthew 28:19-20 and proclaim the everlasting gospel to all the world in the context of the 3 angels messages of Revelation 14:6-12.

Objectives

• To conduct evangelism in all corners of the world
• To enhance spiritual nourishment of members
• To look at social and welfare of the members
• To maintain links with its members
• To be an icon of hope, peace, unity and harmony at all times

Activities

• Singing and Bible Study
• Social Sundays and Social Lunches
• Visitations to members
• Attending missions and camp meetings
• Chaplaincy (visiting prisons, children homes, hospitals)

Milestones

• Nurturing of members spiritually, socially and economically
• Acquisition of PA system
• Production of 8 audio recordings and 3 DVDs
• Network creation with other churches
• Good interrelationship among regular members and associates
